Our mission is to provide a safe place for people in our community who need food, rent and utility assistance, education, or other resources to help create stability in their lives. Community volunteer support allows Christian Neighbors to offer many activities, programs, and outreach activities. Thank you for considering giving your time to Christian Neighbors, the households we serve, thereby by partnering with us to continue meeting the changing needs of individuals living in Allegan and Kalamazoo counties.

Delivery Assistant (This position must be able to lift 50 lbs.)

Food Transport (Must have personal vehicle and be able to transport food from events such as Stuff the Bus or various local food drives and bring food back to Christian Neighbors.

Mentors for Demonstration Kitchen Classes (help with specific populations or skills)

VITA Tax Volunteers (become a trained tax preparer and volunteer 1-2 days during tax season

It is the policy of Christian Neighbors that individuals serving as a volunteer have not been a service recipient of the organization within the last year. Christian Neighbors does have exceptions to this policy.

APPLICANT AGREEMENT

If I am approved for a volunteer position, I understand that either Christian Neighbors or I can end my volunteer relationship at any time and for any reason. I understand that an application for a volunteer position does not guarantee placement in that position. If I am placed in a volunteer position at Christian Neighbors, I will familiarize myself with the job description and perform those duties as requested. I will sign a Code of Ethics, Conflict of Interest, Confidentiality and Non-Discrimination policy. I also agree to participate in an annual Civil Rights training provided by Christian Neighbors.
